What Can a CNM Do For You?
CNMs are qualified to provide a broad range of services which include:
 
         
  Annual Exams- including breast exams, pap smears, and pelvic exams.

Family Planning- prescribing a method of birth control appropriate for you, such as birth control pills, IUDs, diaphragms, hormonal injections, etc., as well as emergency contraception when necessary.

Infection Screening and Treatment- including urinary tract infections and sexually transmitted diseases.

Preconception and Prenatal Care- advice on how to get pregnant and personalized care during your pregnancy and birth.

Pre and Post Menopausal Care- how to handle the changes a woman goes through later in life. Assistance in deciding if hormone replacement therapy or an alternative is right for you.

Office Endometrial Ablation- For women who no longer desire pregnancy and have annoying bleeding where no abnormal condition is the cause. This 2 minute office procedure (About 40 minutes of office time) has significantly reduced the need for surgical treatments such as hysterectomy.

Referral to the OB/GYN- if a woman develops complications or requires medical intervention.

Laser Hair Removal - our office also offers laser hair removal services with an RN.  
   
     
   
     
  Comprehensive Diagnostic Prenatal and Gynecologic Ultrasound- including color doppler and 3D/4D technology and first trimester genetic screening using nuchal translucency measurements. Second trimester detailed structural survey ultrasound of your baby and continued surveillance and monitoring of your pregnancy when clinically indicated.

   At the time of your birth, our staff will help support you through labor and deliver your baby. We respect the strength of a woman and her vision of how she wants to experience birth. Our goal is to fulfill that vision while maintaining safety for both mom and baby. Whether a woman chooses natural childbirth or epidural anesthesia, we will support that decision.
