The Woman's Place for Health & Midwifery Care is located in Camarillo, California. Our office is also conveniently located next to St. John's Pleasant Valley Hospital.
Our care is safe, sensitive, personal, and professional. We emphasize holistic care through health promotion, education, and prevention. With health education as a primary focus, our goal is to assist you in developing and maintaining good health habits.
Our office accepts TriCare and most PPO insurance plans. We also accept MediCal for pregnancy only. We do not accept MediCal for gynecology, Worker's Comp, or any HMO plans at this time.
We welcome your questions and take time to listen to your concerns. We encourage you to take an active part in your care. As a team, we can then move towards optimal health for you.
Joyce Weckl, CNM, MSN, received a BS degree in Nursing from St. Louis University in 1984. In 1993, she attended USC and became a certified nurse-midwife. In 1995, she also received a Master's degree from USC. Her experience includes everything from high-risk obstetrics to home births. She has also worked in several birthing centers and hospitals and has served as an Assistant Clinical Professor at UC Irvine. 
Lynn Olson, MSN, CNM, WHNP received a BS in Nursing from Azusa Pacific University in 2002. She attended California State University at Fullerton and completed her MSN in 2007 with a concentration in women’s heath, specializing in midwifery. She has worked in several hospitals in the greater Los Angeles area and has experience managing high risk obstetrical patients and attending home births. Lynn and her husband have six children, some of whom are beginning to give them grandchildren!Stuart Fischbein, MD, FACOG, received his BS degree in 1978 and MD in 1982 from the University of Minnesota. His internship and residency were completed at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. Stuart is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology. He has been in private practice in Los Angeles since 1986. His expertise includes high-risk OB, ultrasound, and infertility. He serves on the advisory board for http://www.babycenter.com/.
